Partnership for Virtual Workshops

To continue its educational and training outreach, The Forum on Education Abroad conducts virtual workshops throughout the year. The Forum welcomes its member institutions and organizations to submit an application to partner for a virtual workshop during the academic year.

All Standards workshops will be offered on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. EDT / 17:00 – 21:00 UTC. A different workshop will be offered every two weeks and they will host no more than 20 participants.

The Standards Workshops can be applied toward the Professional Certification in Education Abroad program and the Forum Credentials Program. Please note that workshops that do not meet the minimum registration target two weeks before the event will be canceled by The Forum.


Requirements

Workshop partners are expected to collaborate with The Forum and help advertise the workshop within their networks to generate interest and attendance. Promotional efforts may include advertising via email and social media.

The institution/organization requesting to partner for a virtual workshop must be a Forum member at the date and time that the workshop is held. If the selected member discontinues their membership before the workshop, a new Forum member will be chosen as a partner.


Benefits

The partner member will receive the following benefits

  • Acknowledgement of the member’s role on The Forum’s website and in the Forum News (electronic newsletter), including the member’s logo.
    • Official logo to be used should be supplied during the application process.
  • Complimentary registrations for each workshop.
    For every 5 paying registrants, the partner member will be granted 1 registration at no charge. (Example: 15 paying registrants = 3 registrations at no charge). The complimentary registrations can only be used by employees of the institution/organization and are only valid for that specific workshop on the date and time scheduled.

Review & Deadline

Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. Applications are specifically sought from Community Colleges, HBCU’s, TCUs, HSIs or other organizations that might not have been able to host a live and in-person workshop due to resource challenges.  However, all applications will be considered.  Applicants will be assigned to a workshop in the order in which applications are received. The Forum will send notifications within three weeks after the deadline regarding the status of all applications.
