Forum Fellowship

Inspired by the Forum Council, the Forum Fellowship supports education abroad professionals from HBCUs, Tribal Colleges, and Hispanic Serving Institutions. Up to seven Fellowships will be awarded in 2022.

Fellows will be enrolled in The Forum’s Professional Certification in Education Abroad Program and they will have the opportunity to participate one of the following two options to begin the Certification Journey:

  • Summer Accelerated Residency
The 2022 in-person Summer Accelerated Residency will be hosted in Washington, D.C. on June 21 – 23, 2022. Three (June 20 – 23)  nights’ accommodations will be provided as part of the Fellowship. Candidates or their institutions are expected to cover the cost of travel to/from Washington D.C. and the cost of breakfast and dinner (3 lunches are provided).
  • Professional Certification Virtual Cohort
Beginning on Fall 2022, Candidates will have the opportunity to complete their Certification Program by attending all live-virtual workshops that compose the program. Three workshops will be provided in fall 2022 and three in spring 2023. In addition to attending the six live virtual workshops, fellows will have the opportunity to connect during virtual office hours to discuss their assignments.

This unique opportunity will support the professional development of each Fellow by expanding the Fellow’s network of colleagues through participation in the Certification cohort, and providing the Fellow an in-depth introduction to the 6th edition of the Standards of Good Practice.
