MenuSuzi Breslin (Dublin, Ireland) has been IFSA-Butler’s Exploring Community & Culture (C&C) coordinator since its inception in spring of 2014.
Her M.A. in Irish History from University College Dublin along with her experience as a student services coordinator for IFSA-Butler provides the perfect foundation for the expertise she has brought to the development and implementation of C&C in Ireland. In addition to her background in Irish History, she has trained at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication (SIIC) in intercultural teaching and learning. A delegation of IFSA-Butler’s National Advisory Council–made up of representatives of U.S. institutions who send their students on IFSA-Butler programs–who carried out a full-scale evaluation of C&C in Dublin in 2015 identified Suzi as, “…admirably effective: she combines a focus on her learning objectives with active listening and genuine concern. Consistent with the erasure of the boundary between in-class and out-of-class learning.”
