MenuRebecca Entel is an Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing at Cornell College. She teaches courses in 19th-century American literature, multicultural literature, and creative writing. She takes students to the Bahamas to study Caribbean literature and to Chicago to study literature and social justice. She is the author of the novel “Fingerprints of Previous Owners” (2017). Her short stories and essays have appeared in magazines such as Guernica, Joyland, LitHub, Electric Literature, and Catapult, and her scholarship on Civil War literature has been published in various academic journals and essay collections. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
