Leigh Poole currently serves as the Director of the International Center at Winthrop University and as an Assistant Professor for University College. As Winthrop’s senior international officer, Dr. Poole is responsible for leading campus-wide internationalization including the integration of global learning into the curriculum, the creation and support of institutional and bilateral exchange agreements, and providing a variety of opportunities for student mobility. Prior to this position she worked as the Director of International Student Life at the University of Georgia. She has studied higher education as a Fulbright Scholar in France, Germany, and South Korea, and been honored as a Presidential Scholar by the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA).
