MenuAnthony P. Graesch (Ph.D. UCLA) is Associate Professor and Chair of Anthropology at Connecticut College. His research and teaching broadly address the archaeology of Indigenous and colonizing societies in both past and present settings, although his published work tends to blur traditional scholarly boundaries in anthropology, archaeology, and other social sciences. He is an ardent supporter of cross-disciplinary and mixed-methods approaches in the social sciences, particularly those that illuminate the roles of objects and built space in the shaping of everyday experience. His published research includes studies of colonialism, household economy, and craft production in the archaeological past, as well as investigations of modern-day uses of domestic space and material culture in the twenty first century.
