MenuDr. Essary serves as Director of Strategic Academic Initiatives for the College of Health Solutions, and Interim Director and Clinical Professor in the School for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Arizona State University (ASU). As Director of Strategic Academic Initiatives, Dr. Essary works in collaboration with the Dean to develop, implement, and lead strategic partnerships for the College. In the School for the Science of Health Care Delivery, Dr. Essary serves as Interim Director and Clinical Professor. She teaches graduate-level coursework in leadership and professionalism, historical and contemporary issues in medicine, and the U.S. health care system. Her research interests encompass primary care and prevention strategies, health services research, and the provision of accessible, high-quality, patient-centered health care. She has successfully submitted proposals for grants, publications, posters, and national presentations. In 2013, she was granted the Breitman-Dorn Fellowship in recognition of her research efforts.
