MenuJeff Wilkes is a Senior Instructor and the Beaver’s Heavy Civil Endowed Chair in the Department of Construction Management at CSU. He has a M.S. in Construction Management from CSU and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Jeff has worked for several top-ranked construction companies focusing on heavy civil projects. His teaching areas focus on construction equipment means and methods, soils for construction managers, sustainability and 3D modeling/BIM. Jeff believes that having students work on the concept in an open environment with the support of their peers and instructor is essential to keeping them engaged. Within his the CM Department, he serves on the Curriculum Committee and as the chair of the Competition Committee, where he helps to organize the various student competition teams as they prepare to compete in regional and national events. Jeff was awarded the CM Department’s Faculty of the Year award in 2015.
