Global Voices, Episode 2: Being brave and navigating missteps in global JEDI work

Discussing the fear of making mistakes when doing DEI work in global education, and how we should be brave to make our work more inclusive, intentional, and accessible.

We will discuss some common fears that keep us from doing intentional work, common mistakes and how to grow from them as missteps rather than game-ending mistakes, and how to navigate through the growth to be a more inclusive global voice.

Maggie Mahoney, Director of Global Engagement at the University of Houston hosts this episode for the Forum and is joined by Kelly Holland, Vice President of Institutional Partnerships at AIFS Abroad & Johnny Zapata, a student program alumni from the University of Houston and now Foreign Service Office with the U.S. Department of State.

Ryan Vonderhaar, Global Education Coordinator, The Ohio State University produced the episode.
