The Forum Certification Program is intended for professionals who are active in or are considering a career in the field of education abroad.

Registration Deadline
Registration is accepted at various points throughout the year. Participants are encouraged to register for the virtual and in-person Professional Certification programs by the deadlines below.
Virtual Forum/SIT Course:

- Fall Semester: August 31
- Spring Semester: January 15
In-Person Accelerated Residency offered every June:

- Deadline to apply: June 15
- Registrations will be accepted after June 15th as space allows.
- Locations are announced in the fall.

Registration Cost
The Registration costs covers participation in one of the following options:
- The fall and spring, or summer intensive, online courses offered in collaboration with the SIT Graduate Institute
- The in-person Accelerated Residency offered at the end of each June
- The six Certification workshops offered virtually or in person throughout the calendar year

Participants who elect to receive SIT Graduate Credit will be invoiced $300 per credit.
Participants can pay the registration fee with credit card or request an invoice be sent to them.
Forum Fellowship
The Forum Fellowship supports education abroad professionals from HBCUs, Tribal Colleges, and Hispanic Serving Institutions. Up to five Fellowships are awarded each year. Fellows are enrolled in The Forum’s Professional Certification in Education Abroad Program and are invited to participate in the summer in-person Accelerated Residency.
Accommodation for three nights is provided as part of the fellowship. Candidates or their institutions are expected to cover the cost of travel and meals not included. Participants who are unable to attend the in-person Accelerated Residency will be enrolled in the Forum/SIT virtual course.
