Such an advisor explains to students the general education abroad process, helps students understand the education abroad choices available to them, and often does outreach work to identify prospective education abroad participants. Advising addresses a wide variety of topics including the types of available programs, application procedures, scholarship and financial information, the credit-approval process, academic major/minor articulation, pre-departure preparation, program requirements, and re-entry.
