Accelerated Residency Program – Professional Certification in Education Abroad
“It’s a short, intense experience that provides the opportunity to make significant headway in terms of internalizing best practices for the field and incorporating them into one’s own work. Also, the residency provides a special opportunity to meet and share ideas with like-minded colleagues.”
“I will and have already recommended the Accelerated Residency program to colleagues. While it was an intense experience it proved invaluable to me. I do not believe I would have come away with the same amount of clarity had I done this program any other way.”
Accelerated Residency is a three-day intensive program which allows Certification participants to attend all six Standards of Good Practice workshops that make up the Professional Certification Program; participants return home to complete accompanying Standards Assignments. The Accelerated Residency program is open to all participants who have applied and are enrolled in the Professional Certification Program. The cost of the Accelerated program is the same; participants additionally cover transportation to/from the host site, hotel, and dinners.
Accelerated Residency provides participants a unique opportunity to learn and collaborate with their colleagues in the field and intensely focus on their professional development.

“I think the Accelerated Residency is the best way to become certified. Learning from not only Forum staff and facilitators, but from our colleagues around the world was fantastic.”
