Through the lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion, this workshop gives you the opportunity to learn about best practices for student learning and development. With a strong emphasis on discussion, we invite you to share and discuss your best practices and how they center around EDI.
This workshop is offered as part of the Accelerated Residency for the Professional Certification in Education Program. You can attend this workshop as a standalone event or attend all of the workshops offered during the Accelerated Residency by enrolling in the Professional Certification in Education Abroad Program.

About the Workshop
Designed as a sequel to Student Learning and Development: Advising and Orientations, this workshop focuses on reflection, integration, and assessment as part of an overall approach to student learning and development. Using case studies and group work activities, you will learn how the Standards of Good Practice can help you develop or improve your practices for fostering student learning throughout the education abroad process, beginning before students leave campus and finishing upon their return.

This workshop is designed to address the needs of inbound and outbound student advisors, faculty leaders, and onsite staff.

Note: If you are enrolled in the Professional Certification in Education Abroad Program or you’d like to begin your Professional Certification journey, this workshop will count towards Module 6.
