Mental Health Through the Lens of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Wednesday, March 22, 8:00 AM @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Wednesday, March 22, 2023
8:00 am – 12:00 pm PDT/UTC-7
In Person, Seattle Conference

Reports of mental health concerns are on the rise across campuses and on education abroad programs. With an increasing number of students citing a history of mental illness, education abroad professionals need to be aware of how mental health presents, how marginalization of populations affects mental health outcomes, and incorporate mental health as part of equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies.

This workshop will introduce participants to current trends in mental health among students, the intersectionality of mental health and marginalization, and what ways the education abroad field support marginalized and underrepresented populations for success on education abroad.
