In conjunction with IFSA-Butler NAC Conference
Since the new Handbook for Campus Safety and Security Reporting was issued in 2011, VAWA was passed and the Title XI Dear Colleague Letter was sent, questions have arisen among education abroad professionals, risk managers, legal counsels and campus police chiefs. Many institutions and program sponsors still have questions as they grapple with the impact of these new laws or interpretations. Co-sponsored by the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), expert facilitators from both The Forum and NACUA will respond to these questions and specifically address implications for study abroad.
This workshop will be held immediately before the IFSA-Butler NAC Conference.
Facilitators: Natalie Mello (The Forum on Education Abroad) and Joe Storch (SUNY; NACUA)
