Pre-Conference Workshop during the CCID 47th Annual Conference at The Capital Hilton, Washington, DC, United States
Attendees will be introduced to and learn how to apply the Standards of Good Practice in Education Abroad to global education at community colleges. Through roundtable discussions, participants will have hands on experience in applying the Standards Guiding Principles to their specific institutional context.

About the Workshop
This workshop is an introduction and overview of the 6th edition of The Standards of Good Practice and its Guiding Principles. The Guiding Principles create the foundation for effective and meaningful education abroad program design and delivery. It applies to every aspect and modality of education abroad.
The four Guiding Principles are:
• Mission & Goals
• Collaboration & Transparency
• Ethics
• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
This workshop is Module 1 of the Professional Certification in Education Abroad. Questions about the Professional Certification program can be directed to: certification@forumea.org.

- Campus based education abroad advisors, coordinators, and directors

- Community members such as internship or volunteer supervisors or home stay families
