A U.S.- accredited institution may officially document and award credits for programs or institutions that are not accredited in the U.S, acting as a “School of Record.” The Forum on Education Abroad (with input from the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers/AACRAO) developed guidelines for School of Record relationships.
