Membership

Membership fees cannot be refunded.

Events Cancelled or Rescheduled by the Forum

The Forum on Education Abroad may cancel or reschedule any event for any reason.  It will provide registrants as much notice as is reasonably possible under the circumstances.  The Forum will refund 100% of registration fees paid for any event cancelled by The Forum.  If The Forum reschedules an event to a date when the registrant is unable to attend, it will refund 100% of the registrant’s registration fee, provided that the registrant requests the refund within 30 (thirty) days of The Forum communicating the new date; otherwise, the refund reschedule below (for registrant cancellations) applies.

Unless otherwise indicated in the event description, The Forum anticipates holding events in person. If a public health emergency warrants, The Forum reserves the right at its sole discretion to hold the event in a virtual setting. By registering for an in-person event, registrants agree to participate in either an in-person or in a virtual setting, unless registrant notifies The Forum in writing by the deadline stipulated for refund requests for the virtual event. If The Forum determines that the event will be held in a virtual or remote environment, it will refund participants a prorated share of any costs The Forum is able to recover in connection with the change in venue.

The Forum does not reimburse registrants for travel and lodging expenses incurred in connection with any events cancelled or rescheduled by The Forum.


Registrations Cancelled by or on behalf of the Registrant

All cancellation notices and refund requests must be submitted via email to conference@forumea.org.

 

Workshops, Critical Dialogues, and Webinars (Not held in conjunction with a Forum Conference)

  • Refund requested > 15 days prior to event start date = 90% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 15 days prior to event start date = 50% refund

 

Standards Institutes (Not held in conjunction with a Forum Conference)

  • Refund requested > 21 days prior to event start date = 90% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 21 days and > 7 days prior to event start date = 50% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 7 days prior to event start date = No refund

 

On-Site Conferences (Annual, EMEA or CIGL) & Associated Pre-/Post-Conference Workshops and Critical Dialogues

  • Refund requested > 90 days prior to conference start date = 90% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 90 days and > 21 days prior to conference start date = 50% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 21 days prior to conference start date = No refund

 

Virtual Conferences (Annual, EMEA or CIGL)

  • Refund requested > 21 days prior to conference start date = 90% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 21 days and > 7 days prior to conference start date = 50% refund
  • Refund requested ≤ 7 days prior to conference start date = No refund
